Zidebar for Outlook by Zentso
The configuration we are going to present allows for emails to be directly imported from Outlook into iMIS, storing the email file in SharePoint and key email metadata in iMIS, as well as the ability to download the email. This configuration is used by several unions in Australia.
The sidebar appears in Outlook and automatically searches iMIS for the relevant contact to log the email against, based on email address. If any matching contacts exist, they will automatically be presented to the user, and then can be selected as the record to store the email against straight away. If there are no automatic matches, the user can use the search bar to look for records in the system with a specific email address. The add-in also allows for the creation of a new contact in iMIS to then log the email against. The add-in can be configured to display multiple tabs, providing the user with the ability to log the email against different categories of records, such as employers or cases. The tabs, buttons, description, logos and workflow endpoint within the “Zidebar” can be freely configured.
Amongst our other Sharepoint integration tools, we have a ‘Drag and Drop’ file uploader, where files can be dragged and dropped into iMIS straight from the file system. The workflow in the background works similarly to our "Zidebar" add-in, uploading the file to Sharepoint and then populating data in an iMIS data source with a reference back to the uploaded file for download.
Our ‘Drag and Drop’ functionality is powered by CloudToolz FormBuilder, which allows you to create a form and obtain automatically generated embed code for publishing to any page within iMIS or any other CMS.
Both apps make use of the powerful “Workflowz” engine inherent in CloudToolz. A workflow can be configured to connect to Sharepoint, populating activities or UD table, use Dropbox, ShareFile from Citrix, Google Drive or any other provider.
